In the magnificently renovated Carré Concorde building, our mission was to create a private corner of greenery to protect the first floor meeting rooms from curious onlookers.

Within the limits of the courtyard space allocated to our client, we built a scene made of a series of custom aluminum planters of different heights, interlocking and echoing the classical, geometric codes of the courtyard. The planters rise when facing the bay windows, for greater privacy. The interior terrace space is modular. Planters on wheels separate the terraces of the various meeting rooms from each other but these planters can be moved to open up the entire space, in case of a reception.

We carefully selected each of the maples and birches creating this forest, and a few evergreen shrubs complete the arrangement. As the courtyard is very shady in winter, the trees were chosen deciduous to allow for light during this period. All blooms have been chosen white in color and spread out in touches throughout the year. Ferns and grasses are used to play with textures and shades of green. The choice of a limited number of species and colors ensures a contemporary, elegant look.

The outdoor furniture is in harmony with the indoor furniture for a contemporary ambience, softened by the soft shapes of white terracotta pebbles. They can be used as coffee tables or seats.
